JB's Video Game Talk

I have just recently finished playing Dead Space 2 and it is a very good game. There is something creepy around every corner whether it’s the city’s dark atmosphere, the blood stained walls, or the creatures that pop out of no where. In one spot I exited the room I was in to go back and save real quick. When I went back into the room a necromorph (creatures in the game) was standing there then jumped up into a vent, but not even a minute later he was attacking me again. I like this game a whole lot better than the first Dead Space. In Dead Space 2 the creature are harder to kill, power nodes are easier to find making upgrading your suit and weapons easier, and the ending was just amazing. If you want to buy it I suggest the collector’s edition. It is the same price as the limited edition(as of 6/28/2011) and you get more for your money. It comes with a small not full size replica of the new plasma cutter, the soundtrack, 1 lithograph, Dead Space 2 and Dead Space Extraction(comes with the limited edition as well), and a redeem code for a Zealot Force Gun and Suit. I give it a 5/5 for great visual design, gameplay, and soundtrack. If you are wondering what I would give Dead Space Extraction I can’t accurately give that score for the PS3. Since this game was made to play with the Playstation Move and I used a regular wireless controller some of the experience and fun is lost. Although it is an okay game and the fact that you can get it free with Dead Space 2 is a plus. I will say that I would give it a 3/5 for story and soundtrack only. If you were buying this on the Playstation Network you do get an interesting game that gives more background to the Dead Space universe, but it’s nothing new.
